How does Lakanto monkfruit sweetener differ from other sweetener blends?

Our monk fruit sweetener is a specialised combination of Erythritol and monk fruit extract, carefully designed to deliver a clean, evenly balanced sweetness. Through research and refinement, Lakanto developed a technology that allows the monk fruit extract to bind directly to each individual Erythritol crystal. This means the sweetness is distributed evenly, so every teaspoon, every spoonful, and every batch you make has the same consistent level of sweetness.

This consistency is what allows our products to behave like regular white, raw, or brown sugar in your favourite recipes, while remaining low carb, with zero glycaemic impact and no added sugar.

Other  sweetener blends on the market are often loose mixtures of different ingredients, such as stevia, monk fruit, erythritol, xylitol, mannitol and other sugar alcohols. The biggest issue here, is that there’s no way to ensure that every spoonful contains the same ratio of sweetening components. As the product settles in the pack or is scooped out over time, lighter or finer ingredients can separate from the heavier crystals. That variability can make it harder to trust your recipes and repeat your results as the sweetness is uneven.
