Why did LAKANTO® come to Australia?

Providing Australians with a better sugar free alternative.

Noting that the Australian market’s only sugar alternative was stevia, Saraya Australia’s company director, Leon McIndoe, spent 3 years and significant investment to have monk fruit recognised in all food categories by FSANZ (Food Standards Australia New Zealand), where stevia is only recognised in about 30% of these categories.


Now 4 years on, Lakanto is available in over 2700 outlets around Australia and New Zealand, offering people a healthier alternative to sugar.
